LIST: 3 new ways to wear denim
MANILA, Philippines — May it be summer or rainy, denim is a classic and flexible wardrobe staple for many.
For those looking for new ways to wear their jeans, fashion retailer SM recently released three ideas hauled from its 2019 Kids, Youth and Woman denim collections.
For its campaign, the department store chain took inspiration from punchy colors, streetwear subtleties and three key trends.

Considered as a denim “golden age,” the ‘90s took out its penchant for garage punk in its love for jeans, jean jackets and all other possible iterations of the fabric.
The ‘90s denim collection dishes out straight leg pants in different washes, ideal for pairing with boxy jean jackets that were all the rage in the era.
In the mix is another ‘90s signature: vibrant color-blocked stripes by way of sweaters and shirts.

The traditionally tricky denim-on-denim style is given a new twist via a patched button-down with multiple denim shades; light washed denim with jean stripe overlays and vintage graphic shirts in blue.
Color me denim
Colored denim makes a comeback. Photo release
Trying to veer away from classic blue denim? Another way to wear jeans is through dyed denim pieces in yellows and deep reds and corduroy, matched with saturated shades in the form of staple shirts and vintage athletic outerwear.
After more than 10 weeks of competition, 1,800 contestants, and 16 finalists, Gelai Penales and Angelia Orna were declared the winners of SM Youth Go-See Season 4. As the show’s winners, the two are officially the new brand ambassadors and will be featured in campaigns and events of the brands. They join the current league of brand ambassadors Tommy Esguerra, Richard Juan, Kaila Estrada, Kyle Perry, Erika Kristensen, and last year’s Go-See winners Julian Rodriguez and Jaime Borromeo.
