International cosmetics label Maybelline New York recently launched a new line of lip products with their Sensational Liquid Matte Lip Tint, touted to be the first-ever lip tint from the brand and delivers intense pigmentation with one swipe yet leaves a weightless and soft matte finish.
The secret is in the micronized powder technology that makes the formula thin enough for that light-as-air and comfy feel on the lips but thick enough to give great color payoff with a matte finish. It leaves your lips flushed with color without the heavy and drying feeling.
“We want to make sure that we answer any Filipinas make up woes through our products,” says Kathleen Chan, Product Manager for Lips category. “The Sensational Liquid Matte Lip Tint is truly an innovation that answers most Filipinas desire to have a lightweight lipstick that give amazing color payoff without the heavy and sticky feeling that other liquid matte lipsticks deliver.”

Recently, Maybelline also introduced three products for makeup junkies in the Philippines: the Superstay 24H Powder Foundation, Line Tattoo Impact Pen, and Color Sensational Liquid Matte. The brand unveiled all three products in an event led by Janeena Chan and one of the faces of the brand, Gabbi Garcia.
Liquid Matte Lip Tint is formulated with micronized powders, making it lightweight and non-sticky. This creamy sets as matte, but aims to give comfort all day. It can also be used on the cheeks and is available in 10 shades. It complements the new Superstay powder foundation that offers full coverage and 24-hour long-wear; and Line Tattoo Impact Pen with a tattoo-lasting, waterproof, smudge-proof and sweat-proof formula.
Recently, the brand also introduced its City Heat (The Bricks Collection), the new line from the Creamy Mattes range, composed of six warm nude shades in a limited-edition packaging. The range is also now available in mini sizes that are first available on Shopee.
The Bricks Collection offers nude shades to suit Filipina skintone.

For most women, glamming up is second nature. It looks good, feels good, and can even bring a good bit of fun.
But there are still people who feel like they need to throw shade at a woman for something as routine as putting on makeup.
Giving backhanded compliments is one thing, but being rude and snarky is another. And among all the unsolicited words makeup-wearing women get, these are just some that should be retired immediately: “Do you really need all that product on your face?”
Putting on makeup can be tedious, but it is a skill that women are proud to have. All makeup products are interconnected; the process is a very personal art form for every woman.
“Guys prefer girls that are more natural-looking.” Society has this dated idea that women make all this effort just to be noticed by a man. But in reality, women couldn’t care less about what others think about their makeup. Putting it on takes an ample amount of time and work, and all that isn’t for anyone else but herself.
“You look totally different when you don’t have makeup on.” Makeup is a way to transform yourself, so of course the end result looks different. After all, it’s an art for expressing different moods and emotions—regardless of what other people think.
Such is the idea behind the new mark. Lip Prism Lipstick by Avon, which encourages women to be unapologetic about their beauty. Every swipe aims to give women 4,000 prismatic pearls that shine with every move, creating a look that aims to last for hours. It is an ideal lipstick for when a woman wants to make a statement.
This collection features trendy 2019 colors, including coral (Energy Flash shade), the Pantone color of the year. There are 10 saturated shades to choose from, including different red, plums, pinks, mauves and nudes.

In an age where the voice and value of women in society have never been held in higher regard, let us get one more thing straight and clear: Beautification is personal.
Applying makeup, for one, is a decision that has less to do with seeking outside approval and attention than feeling good about yourself. It should not send any other message than one of self-confidence.
