MANILA, Philippines — Broadcaster Korina Sanchez's giant billboard along EDSA has been a top-trending topic on social media for weeks.
Many netizens thought Korina, now 52, has looked years younger in the controversial billboard. Some have even mistaken her for celebrity stylist and “it” girl Liz Uy.
In a recent interview with Philstar.com during the launch of Watsons Philippines’ “Happy New You” campaign, Dr. Hayden Kho of the Belo Medical Group gave the lowdown on what really went behind Korina’s transformation.

According to Kho, Korina said that she did the transformation because she is “tired of looking old and out of shape.”
“So, she (Korina) decided that it’s time that she works out, to take care of her skin and her body, and she went to Dr. Belo, she went to Vicki, and asked kung anong pwedeng gawin,” Kho narrated.
Thus, starting four months ago, Korina underwent non-invasive and minimally invasive treatments to make her skin tighten and more glowing, Kho added.
Like Korina, one can achieve physical transformation this year by taking the right supplements, makeup and personal care products, said Watsons Group marketing manager Karen Fabres.
“There are many ways to transform yourself in a different extent. Physical transformation is one,” said Kho.
“Physical transformation is important if you’re not happy with how you look and how you feel about the way people look at you. It’s not very important for most people, but I think, if it bothers you and there’s a solution that’s not unethical naman or immoral, and you can redefine yourself through cosmetic procedures, then go for it.”
