MANILA, Philippines - "Palengke bags" have made it to the New York runway! Well, at least the ones with the "Balenciaga" signature.

Balenciaga's Cabas Shopper has recently appeared at Demna Gvasalia’s fall/winter show, catching the attention of many fashion spectators.

The bag, according to hypebeast was inspired by "the usually cheap red-white-blue nylon bags" often used for packing groceries or carrying heavy goods.

While the usual palengke bag here in the Philippine cost less than a hundred, the Cabas Shopper's price range from US$2,000 (lambskin version) to US$ 10,000 (snakeskin version).

Filipino netizens were quick to notice the bag, labeling the line as #bayongciaga.

The Balenciaga bag is now available online.
