MANILA, Philippines — At least a hundred people spent six months to piece together Michael Cinco's crystallized couture dress which Jennifer Lopez wore during her performance on ‘"The Tonight Show" on Tuesday.
The Dubai-based designer took to Instagram to share details about his magnificent creation. According to his post, it was inspired by Sainte Chapelle, a royal chapel in France that features Gothic architecture and was actually a part of his Spring-Summer 2016 collection.
The gown featured a majestic 20-foot cape that was meticulously hand painted with cathedral stained glass, embedded with 10,000 colorful Swarovski crystals and embroidered with hand-made silk.
JLo took the stage to pay tribute to the victims of the recent Orlando shooting where at least 50 died. The massacre which happened at a night club known as Pulse is regarded as the worst massive gay shooting in US history.
Cinco, the first Filipino designer to have his collection featured during Paris Fashion Week, has dressed Lopez on several occasions including the 2015 American Music Awards.
