Jour d’Hermès will bathe you in light
MANILA, Philippines - Jour d’Hermès tells the story of birth and rebirth of the woman and her beauty, bathed in Hermès light. Hermès in-house perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena puts the gardenia at the heart of the scent to create what he calls “a profusion of flower,” a floral bouquet, that reveals something new every day. “Gardenia, a flower that radiates as much through its beauty as through its fragrance, is the essence of Jour d’Hermès,” he says.
The scent is combined with rose, tuberose, and jasmine, creating an exotic mystery.
He believes that fragrances should have “form, distinction, imagination, generosity, sensuality, surprise, so that no perfume is simply reduced to the status of the product.” He achieves this for Hermès through the years. For Jour d’Hermès, he creates a timeless story of an Hermès woman, feminine and elegant.
The bottle, inspired by the classic Hermès aesthetic, retains the square base as its anchor, combined with perfect curves. The drop of light held within the solid glass is tinted a vegetal aniseed color, accentuating the lines conceived by Pierre Hardy.
Hermès is located at Greenbelt 3, Ayala Center, Makati City.
