Luxe leather at Hide & Stitch
As Christmas was fast approaching and I still had an incomplete gift list, it was perfect timing to drop by Hide & Stitch, the newest shop set up by the entrepreneurial husband-and-wife team of Joanna Preysler and Raul Francisco.
Located at Greenbelt 3, the store has a rustic theme with brick and cement walls. Hide & Stitch’s leather jackets, boots, bags and accessories are supple and surprisingly affordable.
On the day we visited, merchandise was literally flying off the shelves and hardly had I put an item back on the display rack when an eager customer would purchase it, with the sales staff continuously doing brisk business.
The creative Joanna makes sure that everything at Hide & Stitch not only looks good but is durable as well, ensuring the product will have many years of good use. Her discerning eye is evident in the quality of the hides, which are either hand- or machine-stitched. They come in neutral tones to a rainbow of colors. Everything smells, feels, and looks like premium leather.
