MANILA, Philippines - Freeway celebrates BenCab’s 50th anniversary retrospective, showcasing his varied styles and works through its National Artist Collectors Series. As one of the country’s National Artists for Visual Arts, BenCab has portrayed socio-political issues and various aspects of Filipino identity, earning acclaim for expressing universal, human themes.
Freeway has added rich, colored shift dresses, work dresses, a wide variety of sublimation tops, maxi dresses, kimonos, and jumpsuits fit for the dynamic woman and art advocate to its BenCab Holiday collection.
Mostly adorned by the artist’s popular muse named Sabel, the pieces range from casual to semi-formal, consisting of different styles and trends for the modern Filipina. The collection features woven fabrics, soft materials like georgettes, thick knits and comfy soft knits through a range of silhouettes of casual and dressy tops, complemented with gift items like pouches, coin purses, and functional tote bags.
