The Miladay legacy

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Miladay, one of the country’s best-loved Filipino jewelry brands, celebrated 49 years of creating beautiful and stunning pieces that speak to the heart.

Held last Aug. 13 at the new and stylish House of Miladay store on Jupiter St., Bel-Air, Makati, the momentous event was hosted by the Dayrit siblings — Yvonne, Christine, Michelle, Jacqui and Mark — who wore outfits with a touch of yellow to honor the Miladay color.

Guest of honor was Susan Roces, one of Miladay’s first and treasured clients, wearing her own Miladay jewelry and the wedding band her late husband Fernando Poe Jr. gave her on their wedding day on Dec. 25, 1968.

“I always wear my wedding ring to remind me to be faithful always,” she said.

A highlight of the celebration was the launch of the Miladay Passport, every valued client’s jewel identity. It certifies that the jewelry is an authentic Miladay piece. It entitles clients to special privileges that only Miladay can provide. Alexandra Dayrit, a third-generation Miladay jeweler, hosted the event.

Miladay Passport holders also enjoy privileges and perks whenever they visit any Miladay branch. The beauty of this passport is that, like jewelry, it can also be passed on from generation to generation, sending the message that Miladay values you, your legacy and your investment with the 49-year-old jewelry company.

Guests not only enjoyed a delicious feast whipped up by chef Jessie Sincioco, they also won exciting raffle prizes as Miladay gave away 49 gifts to lucky winners. These included South Sea pearl earrings, gold rings and pendants, weekend stay at Raffles Hotel, Bayleaf Hotel, Sonya’s Garden Bed & Breakfast and a trip to Huma Island & Resorts, among others.
