MANILA, Philippines - Influenced by the lifestyle of an unconventional modern jetsetter, Kashieca explores urbanwear, but maintains its signature feminine aesthetic. The concept is a breezy road trip to one of the hottest beaches in the country, but with some stylish swag. Skater skirts are made in gray and given flute hems, while baseball jackets are treated with printed fabrics. Preppy sweaters are updated with neon hues and the classic cigarette trouser is made new through eye-catching prints inspired by streetwear phenomena. Think country girl meets party girl in a balanced mix of blacks and brights.
Kashieca also found inspiration behind the wordplay “Sunshine State.” Combining the Philippine fiesta mentality with silhouettes and sensibilities of the ‘50s, the result is a set of designs that are inspired by post-modern artworks and kitschy prints. Think painterly strokes on peplum tops, pineapple prints on almost anything (even the iconic Little Black Dress), and tropical custom-printed pullovers in iridescent hues. For the less adventurous, Kashieca inserted basic duotone styles with black and white stripes, and neutral pieces in gray that are easy layering options.
Lastly, Kashieca goes Brit Country. Think British High Street taste but with a vintage feel: The contemporary mix of classic cuts with the newness of today’s graphic design philosophies. Colors are muted but silhouettes are cleaner and more streamlined, giving way to a more minimalist modern vibe. Various textural combinations are also introduced through mixing fabrics like jersey and lace to create a dress that’s wearable during the day and night. Pieces under this concept are also more ladylike and dressy; perfect for an eventful day at the office or a big night out.
Dressing for a warmer season is not easy, but dressing down is not an option. Kashieca makes wearing and looking your best during the summer a breeze, literally.
