Gucci: In a pastel state of mind

Bags in lean, architectural lines  match the boyish yet graceful silhouettes of clothes by Gucci, mostly in pastels.

MANILA, Philippines - Gucci creative director Frida Gianini collaborates with artist Kris Knight for the Cruise 2015 collection of Gucci.

The silhouette is boyish yet graceful. There are graphic lines and linear graphics. Low waist outlines. Bermuda shorts. Sixties-style pants. A pastel state of mind. Pearl, soft pink, chamomile, citrus yellow, mimosa, eucalyptus green, and shades of blue alongside neutrals — with a hint of orange. Classic materials alternate with technical treatments. For the overcoat or the jean-inspired jacket, coloful python is bonded with nappa.

The trompe-l’oeil handbag  features double construction inspired by two bags but crafted as one carryall. There are clean, architectural lines for the calfskin clutch, shoulder bag and shopping bag — all featuring the signature Gucci bamboo as the standout detail. Also featuring the horse bit detail, resort-flat slippers alternate with high-heeled boots and booties — in metallic silver leather, calfskin or python.

In the Philippines, Gucci is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists Inc. — a member of the SSI Group — and is located in Greenbelt 4, Ayala Center and Shangri-La Plaza East Wing Level 1.
