Karen Millen’s example of a modern woman is young English actress Sophie Turner, who portrays the character of noblewoman Sansa Stark in the hit American fantasy drama TV series Game of Thrones. At 18, she’s still in the process of figuring out her personal fashion sense. And with the different roles she juggles on a daily basis on- and off-cam, her outfits certainly don’t just lean on one style. It is this versatility and experimental streak that truly makes her a perfect ambassador for Karen Millen. Sophie says, “I’m exploring every kind of style and seeing what works for me. One day, I want to put on black ripped jeans and a black leather jacket with red lips and then the next day I’ll want to wear a pretty summer dress. I like the idea of not being able to pin my style down.”
The autumn/winter 2014 collection leaves a lot of room to experiment with unexpected layers: a delicate A-line dress layered with leather leggings, a lace-accented knit sweatshirt and a dark floral print knit top topped off with a black leather biker jacket.
