Warehouse goes retro-chic
MANILA, Philippines - Warehouse turns to simple festival layering, spaghetti straps, denim midi skirts, floral and even tropical prints plus lots of whites this season.
Simple pastels to fiery and bright tones come with prints. Ethnic prints find their way to silks and jacquards and lame through embellishments, metallics, sequins, embroideries and tribal patterns with Indian and Moroccan influences. Florals and subtle soft prints of plaids, tropical elements, dots, stripes and gingham checks rise to the occasion, side by side with eyelets and lace.
The retro vibe is obvious in mod patterns with garden blossoms, geometrica, color-blocking, cabana stripes, optical illusions on coats, cropped pants, shift dresses and playsuits with a ‘60s sophistication.
Grunge is updated with a relaxed mix of moody prints and muted tones. Warehouse also takes on layering and mixes them with biker jackets, denims peg leg pants. Maxi dresses, meanwhile, are swathed with ditsy florals, plaid and patterned text.
