Miss Selfridge goes hot with yellows, oranges & pinks
MANILA, Philippines - What are the fashion trends this season? Miss Selfridge’s 2014 spring-summer collections demonstrate several looks. First, yellows, oranges and pinks are the “in†colors this season.
Pastel colors give grown-up tailoring and structured shapes a girly feel. Soft leatherette fabrics refresh a Sixties shift dress and a matching skirt-top combo in the prettiest of pastel tones. Miss Selfridge’s slip dresses and camisoles are key pieces. Shades of mints and lilacs update delicate lace.
The Neo Geo trend is a kaleidoscope of print and color with a futuristic tribal vibe. Oriental, aztec and tribal influences are fused together for that “around the world†experience. The dresses and evening separates are dripping in embellishment, but the sharp clean lines give them a fresh new feel.
The new Sports Luxe shapes such as the boxy tee, skort and co-coordinating sets give casual dressing a slick new direction with a feminine influence. Day-to-night pieces are kept clean such as the orange drop-waist dress and the cerise origami playsuit.
