MANILA, Philippines - London-trained award-winning jewelry designer and gemologist Angela Angeles recently opened a showroom in Makati, where her collections will be permanently showcased. Angela’s designs range from sculpted, wearable fine art to warm earthy pieces embellished with crystals, semi-precious stones, pearls or gemstones.
As one who derives much pleasure in creating organically-inspired jewellery, Angela says, “We must never take for granted our natural resources and the hands of the craftsmen who take time to make these pieces.†Her latest collection, Earth Goddess, is infused with natural elements set off with organic gemstones in the colors of nature.
Other pieces to be showcased include Fierce Angel, her first collection in 2012, featuring intricate pieces of white metal alloy brilliant finish with Preciosa and Swarovski crystals, her bridal collection, and Sea Goddess, a new collection that features Philippine hardwood (kamagong), gold metals, baroque and fresh water pearls and carabao horn.
