Rancé’s four new fragrances are inspired by royalty

Whiff of royalty: Avant Le Jour, Elise, Sur Mon Coeur and Tubéreuse from Rancé are available at Rustan’s.

MANILA, Philippines -Known for producing perfumed gloves in the early 1600s for the French aristocracy, and then moving on to creating scents for French royalty, Rancé is one perfume house that is tightly linked to nobility.  Rancé niche luxury perfumes were created for the Napoleon Imperial family use. Loyal customers of Rancé like to smell like nobility. In the words of Giovanni D’Elia Rancé, the 12th generation and heir to the Rancé heritage, Rancé cherishes the centuries-old family traditions; the brand is “timeless and iconic.”

Based in Milan, Italy, Jeanne Sandra Rancé, her husband Felice D’Elia and their son Giovanni D’Elia Rancé, the 11th and 12th generations of the Rancé dynasty, are in charge of this more than 400 years old dynasty, which makes Rancé the oldest family run perfume manufacturer in the world.

Today’s creations are re-interpretations of the original ones; consistent with the personality of the people they were dedicated to, eliminating banned ingredients, intervening on those no longer available or replacing those of animal origin with vegetal ones. The formulas are improved, making them more stable and at the same time more persistent. They are created for elegant, passionate, noble-hearted women.

Rancé is available at Rustan’s.
