MANILA, Philippines -The Catholic Women’s Club (CWC) presents the Casa Y Jardin Bazaar on Sept. 7 and 8, Saturday and Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Rockwell Power Plant.
Casa Y Jardin offers a limited-edition Mother & Child plate by featured artist for 2013 is the late National Artist H.R. Ocampo.
The committee — under the leadership of president Maritess Pineda with Milo Bondoc as chairperson, Terry Tambunting and Michelle Antonio as co-chairpersons — gives shoppers the opportunity to become partners in helping CWC’s more than 90 charities, such as Elsie Gaches Village, Alabang Hospice, Good Shepherd, Home for the Aged, among others.
Now on its 28th year, the two-day bazaar features Christmas decor, clothes, home decor, jewelry, houseware, bags, clothing accessories, shoes, toys and a lot more.

Also on sale are maid’s uniforms sewn by women who were trained in sewing through CWC’s initiative, which is chaired by Tessie Rodrigo. CWC funded the building of a social hall and purchased sewing machines to provide employment to housewives living at Gawad Kalinga Community in Onyx, Manila.
A gold elephant table carries various items donated by generous members and will be sold at giveaway prices. Another is the holiday foods table wherein specialty dishes, pickled vegetables, cheese spreads, pastries, cakes and other goodies are cooked and prepared by the members themselves and donated to the club to earn more for the club’s beneficiaries.
The highlight of the bazaar is a grand raffle to be held on the last day. Visa and MasterCard credit cards will be accepted.
