TSAA fashion modeling students take a bow
MANILA, Philippines -Curtains are up for the Talent School of Academics and Arts (TSAA). Spearheaded by Trumpets founder and Stages president, multi-awarded stage actor and director Audie Gemora, together with business partner, school administrator, and mother of two Vilma Moredo, TSAA is a full-blown school that integrates a regular academics school with a progressive arts program.
For summer, extracurricular programs and workshops such as musical theater, modeling, photography, street dance, guitar, and pop concert performance were offered. Led by top model, fashion and beauty columnist, former president of the Professional Models Association of the Philippines (PMAP), and modeling mentor Rissa Mananquil-Trillo, the students of the modeling class learned runway and photo shoot techniques used by today’s top fashion models and were given the opportunity to work with respected names in the fashion industry, experienced modeling for a real photo shoot, and walked down the runway for top retail brands.
Now in its fifth year, the modeling workshops have had more than a hundred students. Previous modeling students include actor and ABSCBN Star Magic heartthrob Enrique Gil; runway star, member of the Professional Models Association of the Philippines and Pinoy Big Bother housemate Wendy Tabusalla; model and Cosmo centerfold Bryann Foronda; and PMAP model and African-Filipino beauty Nikita McElroy. Two years ago, the teen talents of TV5 underwent training with the modeling teacher. This year, the talents of MYX TV USA’s reality show Star Camp were required to be trained under Trillo’s wings.
