Avon's Fall 2013 is all about having fun with colors

MANILA, Philippines - Avon Fashions’ grand unveiling of its Fall 2013 collection of intimate apparel, jewelry, and accessories launched a Revelry of Colors and Styles with its diverse mix of trendy pieces that proved to be a colorful feast for the eyes.

“The exciting collections we have for intimate apparel, jewelry, and accessories this season depict our salute to what women have told us they want in fashion and style,” said Bob Briddon, Avon Senior Vice President and President for Asia Pacific and Philippines.

“With 35 years tucked under our belt as the strongest and biggest direct selling company in the Philippines, and with Avon Fashions maintaining the number 1 position for Intimate Apparel here in the country, there is definitely much cause for revelry,” he added. “It is also a source of pride to finally be introducing Solenn Heussaff, our newest addition to the family who is now the ambassador of Avon Fashions Jewelry and Watches.”

Featuring fifteen unique and intricately-designed intimate apparel looks for women and men, six exceptionally stunning collections of jewelry and watches, plus twelve chic and stylish handbag collections, Avon Fashions’ Fall 2013 presentation showcased no less than a phenomenal Revelry of Colors and Styles.

Aptly opening the show is the collection’s pièce de résistance Lianne, which featured classic looks that highlight the bestselling Lianne bra paired with the matching panty in a solid skin tone, subtly accentuated with paisley prints. 

The Gayle bra and panty accessorized with the Kate Tote and Wristlet from Radically Red created a bold appeal; while Ultra Lush paraded the sexy Marsha bra and matching panty in alluring purple. Victorian Edge, with its Lizbeth bra and matching panty, were flattering for the body, clad in deep, dark tones and shiny fabric. These were matched with the Victorian Edge handbag featuring a unique silhouette.

Also in the line-up is Neutral Flair, presenting a timeless yet feminine look with its lacey Vivienne bra and panty; Electric Brights, which lightened up the catwalk with the vibrant lime green Nancy bra and panty and bright colored sling bags; and Ever Green with its nature inspired, leaf patterned Marilen bra and matching panty, which were paired with the Ever Green Tote and Giana Croc Sling Bag in vivid hues of green.

Intimate apparel collections featuring bra and panty sets with sleepwear options also took over the runways, including the military-inspired Royal Holiday featuring Claudette bra, with matching panty and sleepwear, that matched well with functional accessories like the Claudette Overnight Bag and Claudette Organizer Wallet Sling; the bright yellow hued Bridgette bra, panty and sleepwear for Lovely in Lace; and the classically feminine Abby sleepwear for Style Me Pretty paired with the Yassy Sling Bag in hot pink suede.

Capping off the show are key looks for men. Modern Plaid with briefs in blue gingham, light gray checks, white, gray, and red plaid patterns and a stylish backpack in blue and red checkered print promised effortless style options; while dark colored choices from Royal Dusk, classic, bikini-cut briefs from Casual Sport, and hip undergarment pieces from Retro Rush offered equally noteworthy wardrobe staples for men.

Kicking off the show’s much-awaited second segment was a captivating song number by the beautiful, creative, and stylish Solenn Heussaff herself, as models walked down the ramp in dramatic black dresses, flaunting key pieces from the elegant Solenn Two-Tone Collection.

Inspired by and named after the muse of Avon Fashions Jewelry and Watches, the collection displayed a set of earrings and a pendant necklace with an intricate two-tone design, paired with the elegant gold tone watch with a face surrounded by rhinestone crystal that also comes with a matching bracelet.

Of the collection inspired by her effortless beauty and sophisticated, chic style, Solenn enthused, “I love how this collection reflects my personal style—simple and comfortable, yet elegant.”

Another classy collection for the ladylike, Ivy Pearl presented a pair of post earrings and a single strand, choker-type necklace in faux ivory white pearls and crystal rhinestones; while Genie Magic crafted together antique-looking, cushion-cut, multi-faceted gemstones in a modern, hologram-like cut. Styled in different ways, the silver tone bangle and ring band accentuated with chic, jet black acrylic rhinestones from Natalie showcased how versatile pieces can be worn from day to night.

The embellished, gold tone pendant style necklace, J-hoop earrings, adjustable ring band, and three-panel bangles from Kate Goldtone presented how a touch of elegance can update an outfit; while the dangling earrings, pendant style necklace, and band rings embellished with  stones in deep jewel colors from Darlene proved how accessories can instantly glam up  a simple look.
