Bench Body brings home the bacon

MANILA, Philippines -A huge thumbs up goes to Bench Body, which brought home an award as one of the top 10 underwear brands at the recently held Shenzhen International Brand Underwear Fair in China.

Bench Body has made waves since its beginnings, with milestones like the highly-anticipated Bench Underwear show; the hiring of international endorsers Rock Ji, Nicole Scherzinger and Adam Levine.

The award is a first for the label, known locally for its comfortable, fashion-forward underwear, endorsed by the hottest local and international stars.

Abroad, however, the label gains just as much recognition with its latest award.

Held annually since 2006, the 7th SIUF was held last May 11 to 13 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre, where Bench Body exhibited its wares as well as opened the men’s underwear fashion show on the second day of the expo.

Awards were given based on the brand’s overall strength, taking into consideration quality of products, market reception, brand culture, and potential for continued growth in the underwear industry. There was also a booth and fashion show component — Bench Body’s wares were displayed in a booth much like the setup of the brand’s local stores, with all its different items hung against walls, flanked by images of its endorsers like Lovi Poe. It was like walking into an actual Bench Body store, an experience that proved to win the brand the formidable award and title. At the fashion show, Chinese models strutted their stuff wearing the brand’s fashion-forward underwear, in a mix of geometrics, solids, floral patterns and stripes.

Other awardees in the illustrious roster include French male underwear brand Pierre Cardin, Shenzhen brand Scher, top Shanghai female underwear brand Gujin, Shanghai female underwear brand Ordifen, Taiwanese female underwear brand Swear, Guangzhou female underwear brands Meisee and Oleno, Xusany from Shenzhen, and Guangzhou female underwear brand Golden Structure.
