The secret to glowy, dewy skin
HI, REGINA!
How do you get glowy skin?
KATRINA
A good skincare regimen helps for sure (don’t skip moisturizer), but you can also fake it. You can apply a radiant primer on key areas like the tops of cheekbones (like MAC’s Strobe Cream, which blends beautifully into skin), and it’s up to you whether you top it off with a BB cream, tinted moisturizer, or hydrating foundation (skip the mattifying formulas).
You can also use a luminizing liquid or highlighting powder on top of your base in place of the primer.
Another trick to staying dewy-looking is to only apply powder (if you do) where you need it; in the center of your face, along your T-zone.

Just for hue: colored eyeliner
DEAR RISSA,
I’ve been seeing colored eye shadows in the magazines, but I’m afraid to try color on my eyelids. How can I try this trend but still feel comfortable? GISELLE
Nude minimalist faces with a just jolt of color — like bright blue eyes — are a big trend right now. No need to go crazy with this trend and do a cat’s eye in a bright bold color. Have fun without going overboard by using colored eyeliner or simply smudging color on the creases of the lids. Instead of going for unfamiliar brights like orange or green, try Laura Mercier Crème Eye Liner in Cobalt (available at Rustan’s). Featured in their summer 2013 collection, this blue hue delivers a gentle pop of color while somewhat giving you the familiarity of basic navy. In fact, I love how it makes the eyes more intriguing. Don’t worry, too, because this is waterproof so you’re sure to make a big splash even at the pool or on the beach.
