Topman goes playful, from tribal to postmodern

MANILA, Philippines - Topman takes a playful route through the hues of the desert, the vivid colors of urban art and the eclectic tones of the beach as it pulls together a lot of street styles to complete its spring/summer 2013 collection.

A desert city between the Mediterranean and the Sahara was the inspiration behind Topman’s Sports Safari line. A trend rich in color and print, it melds the survival wear of the desert and the urban jungle.  Dry handle cottons and linens are combined with the technical, luxe fabrics of the city; tribal and animal prints are mixed with contemporary sublimation prints and new camo updates.

Postmodern art movement Memphis in the ’80s includes furniture and architecture in dazzling colors and designs by Ettore Sottsass. Topman’s Memphis takes a trip back to this era with simple, clean lines with a sudden burst of kitsch prints and vibrant primary hues.

The California skater-surfer look has gone places and Topman takes inspiration from their easy, laidback look. Whether it’s for a skateboard, a long board or for daily summer wear, shorts effortlessly weave their way back in trend with Topman’s Acid Surf.

Robinsons Specialty Stores Inc. (RSSI) is the exclusive franchisee of Topman in the Philippines. Topman stores are at Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Place Manila, Power Plant Mall, Greenbelt 3, Alabang Town Center, TriNoma, The Podium and SM Mall of Asia.
