MANILA, Philippines - Take on color, and don’t tread lightly, with Cinderella’s psychedelic explosion of print and hue that calls out to people’s desire for a summer sojourn.
Seventeen’s snazzy swimsuits come in paisley print tankinis, or twisted cobalt bikini tops paired with coral bottoms for an electric hit. Tribal prints also rule, and do well when paired with trendy ombre denim cutoffs or pants and even blouses. The dip-dye trend gains momentum in the surfer movement that’s seizing the runways, and soon every teen queen’s wardrobe. To take the look to the city, top a bikini-and-pink jean ensemble with a tied polo shirt for a hit of classicism.
Other cover-ups include a yellow woven top with laser-cut detail, an anchor print striped shirt, and a floral print racer-back top (great when paired with neon pants). Long flowing maxi-dresses are also a “shore thing.â€
Off the sand, people can try Seventeen’s distressed jeggings paired with a denim vest, or cross-motif tees.
For dressier occasions, C Women’s chiffon dresses come in color blocked and ruffled one-shoulder versions. Jersey-knit tops also pair well with slacks or khakis, while printed day dresses go well when teamed with blazers.
For date night, opt for tiers of purple chiffon on a lace-bodice dress for casual glamour. Pair with black pumps and you’re set for the evening, or dress down with flats and a cardigan for lunch or coffee.
The men also join in the fun with Pierre Cardin’s khakis and button-downs — in all sorts of colors from the classic blue-and-brown, to the more bohemian hot pink-and-blue-toned combo.
