Three babes and their bags of dreams

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Searching the globe for creative inspiration, LeSportsac arrived in Paris and instantly became drawn to the flirty and boldly feminine looks of Manoush. Founded and designed by Frederique Trou-Roy, Manoush bursts with gypsy-inspired finds and chic Parisian styling as seen with these three lovely girls who show us how to have fun with grace and class.

Fourteen-year-old Annika Valdes dreams of going to Brown for college. Though she’s not yet sure what course she’ll take, she does envision herself getting a fun job that would get her to travel and meet new people. “Never let the fear of striking out get in your way,” replied Annika when asked what the best advice she ever got was. She said that though many people would recognize it from A Cinderella Story, Babe Ruth, as well as her coach said this exact quote.

A sports lover, Annika loves softball and baseball, and her favorite MLB teams are the San Francisco Giants for National League and the Texas Rangers for the American League. With comfort as her top choice, Annika’s style is simple and chic: shorts and a tee or a sleeveless top when hanging out with her family and friends, and a dress paired with flats for special occasions. Asked why she likes LeSportsac, Annika said, “It’s unique! It’s also very durable and can hold lots of my things.”

At only 17 years of age, Kylie Tinga has set her mind on what she would like to achieve in the future. She said, “My dream school for college would be King’s College London where I’d take up English Language and Communications. I’d also like to go into publishing when I graduate because there are so many authors that need someone to represent them, she shared.” This young lady enjoys playing golf with her dad and uncles, reading, occasionally watching TV reality shows like The Voice, and shows interest in debate and MUN (Model United Nations). This coming holiday, Kylie plans to go to Hong Kong and enjoy some relaxation time with her family before studying intensely for her exams. “What I like about LeSportsac is that it’s fun and colorful, and the bags are handy to have when I go out with my friends,” said Kylie.

“My dream college would be the University of Cambridge for its Human, Social and Political Sciences course,” said Kerry Tinga, younger sister of Kylie. At 15 years old, her personal style consists of comfortable clothes. “When I‘m with my family and friends, I just wear something comfortable, like shorts and a loose shirt. On special occasions, I wear dresses, or if it is a little less formal, jeans and a shirt.”

LeSportsac’s relaxed yet chic feel is what Kerry likes about the brand. “I like how casual LeSportsac feels, like I can bring those bags out to a lot of occasions, from hangouts with friends, school and such.” A book and film lover, Kerry plans to spend this coming Christmas hanging out with her family. “A lot of films I’ve been waiting for are also coming out during the Christmas season like Les Miz and Django Unchained,” she said.

In the Philippines, LeSportsac is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc. (SSI) and is located at Greenbelt 5, Rustan’s Makati, Rustan’s Tower, Rustan’s Alabang Town Center, Rustan’s Gateway Mall and Rustan’s Cebu.
