Fashion’s newest accessory? Acer with Windows 8

MANILA, Philippines - Since 1976, Acer has broken barriers between people and technology so that users can explore, create and grow. This season, Acer launched its latest line of computers that will definitely usher in a new revolution in technology.

In a night of technology and fashion at the Crowne Plaza Galleria, Ortigas Center, models strutted on the catwalk clad in hip streetwear like ripped jeans topped with graphic tees, to underscore the theme “Acer is Fashion, Fashion is Acer.”

The mannequins ushered in Manuel Wong, general manager of Acer Philippines, for his welcome remarks. After a rousing dance rendition by The Crew, hosts JC Baron and cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao started the celebration.

Acer Philippines senior product manager Dio Vasquez unveiled the new Acer products as models sashayed on the ramp with Acer laptops in tow.

Models showed off the latest Acer tablet PC with Windows 8 OS; the newest Acer tablet PC, the Iconia W700 powered by Windows 8 OS; the new Windows 8-powered Acer laptop; and the powerful Aspire S7.

For the all-day denim-loving female, the Acer Aspire S7 Ultrabook makes the perfect IT tool; for the modern, geeky or nerdy men, the new Acer laptop is the thing for the male cyberwarrior of today.

Vasquez then explained why the latest Acer products, powered by the new operating system Windows 8, should be the talk of the town. Cuki Pendor, assistant product manager, Acer Phils., and Denby So, product specialist, extolled the virtues of the new Acer laptops.

Lalaine Zulueta, partner account manager of Microsoft Philippines, spoke about this technological partnership.
