Uniqlo gets Ultra Light

- The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Traveling light gets a whole new meaning with Uniqlo’s Ultra Light Down collection of vests, coats, parkas and jackets. These fall fashion staples are getting a stylish update this season with Uniqlo’s latest innovation that gives cold-weather clothes a new lease on “light.” The Ultra Light Down weighs only 206 grams — the equivalent of a summer shirt — but it will keep you warm through your holiday travels, or at your freezing cold office, if you wish. Uniqlo utilized super light nylon made from ultra-thin thread while preserving durability and softness. An added bonus — an crucial one for travelers — is that it packs down to the size of a milk carton, so you can store it easily in your carry on luggage.

The Ultra Light Down innovation is applied to a collection of silhouettes, colors and prints. The entire collection of apparel for men and women comes in more than a 100 colors. New designs are fit for our wet season, including a women’s A-line silhouette with a quarter sleeve, as well as a men’s half-length cut, ideal for commuting or an evening out. They also come in a selected range of easy-to-coordinate patterns like dots and checks. The protective and comfortable gear is not only wearable outdoors — the Ultra Light Down tops are so light and sleek, they also make for suitable under layers for chilly days ahead.

The Uniqlo Ultra Light Down Vest is now available at the Uniqlo store located at the 2nd floor, Main Mall, SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City. Other Ultra Light Down products will be available in December. Store hours are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
