MANILA, Philippines - Another hot fashion brand is coming, rather, landing in the Philippines.
American Eagle Outfitters(AEO) , the clothing and accessories brand known for its cool, edgy fashion sold at very affordable prices, will be brought in by the Bench group early next year.
Founded in 1977 by brothers Jerry and Mark Silverman, AEO is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and has over 900 stores in the USA. Known for its jeans, polo shirts, T-shirts, boxers, briefs and summer wear, AEO has retail outlets in Canada, Puerto Rico, Egypt, Lebanon, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Jordan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Russia, Japan, Hong Kong and Poland.
AEO is touted as the more popular alternative to a higher-priced American brand known for its longtime uniform of pricey denim and graphic T-shirts. Marcie Merriman, founder of retail and brand strategy consulting firm PrimalGrowth, says” Today's young people are radically different from other generations, including Millennials, now in their twenties, because they reject uniforms. They have a bevy of options, thanks to the boom in fast fashion... and they've developed a more individual style from exposure to fashion via the Web and social media."
American Eagle Outfitters is soaring high among today's young shoppers who go for hip, indie and cool clothes at down-to-earth prices.
