MANILA, Philippines - Prepping for a special occasion? Or getting ready for a big date? Cinderella makes you feel like the belle of the ball in special-occasion dresses and pretty separates.
From Semplice comes dramatic options in lace and glitter. A midnight blue number in a full skirt and with a fully beaded bodice top dazzles with lace details. The romantic fabrication is carried through in a cocktail-length version with a mesh bodice and peplum detailing. On the glimmering side, a low-back column gown takes on a Grecian silhouette but in a new-world, fully-sequined fabric.
Richard Papa’s own pieces make a play on lace, mixing it with bronze leatherette in a sweetheart body con dress with chantilly trim. The leather becomes the centerpiece of his dresses, with a beaded cocktail number with a fit-and-flare fishtail skirt.
Drezzee makes a bid for the prom-princess and debutante set with dresses like a ruched magenta gown in silk chiffon, with wrap draping and a flared waistline; a royal blue taffeta dress with a flounce moving into rose detail; and a V-neck, flapper-shaped drop-waist dress for dancing all night in.
June goes for the same feel, albeit with a focus on ruffles, in the form of a midnight blue and aqua blue tube dress, a navy blue gown, a strapless version in silver, and an asymmetric cocktail-length dress with a brooch accent.
The art of the fashionable mix rules at Verve, with prom-ready dresses like a teal serpentina gown, along with more casual yet still dressed-up numbers like a hot pink jumpsuit with a built-in shawl, or a psychedelic-print wrap dress.
For looks that can easily go for a dinner date or even a stroll around the mall, Seventeen has solid jersey onesies, color-blocked knit tops, and brightly hued shorts, and cardigans.
C Women also goes for the same feel, but in dress silhouettes, like a single-shouldered chiffon dress in aqua, and a draped number in periwinkle.
