PMAP holds open casting for models
MANILA, Philippines - The Professional Models Association of the Philippines is calling on aspiring and experienced models for an open casting this Saturday, June 30 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Arts in the City in The Fort (across NBC Tent). Females should be at least 5’8” and male models at least 5”11”. Please bring your portfolio and set card.
The panel of judges include the current PMAP board members, headed by president Phoemela Baranda; fashion and beauty icon and Project Runway host Tweetie de Leon; pillar in the fashion industry and fashion director Jackie Aquino; super model, beauty columnist and modeling mentor Rissa Mananquil-Trillo; style director for Esquire Philippines Raymond Gutierrez; and the Philippine Star Supreme editor Tim Yap.
For the past 25 years, the Professional Models Association of the Philippines (PMAP) has been the only non-profit organization established by models and run by the models themselves. A cross between an association and a union, the organization continues to protect, uplift, and professionalize the modeling industry in the Philippines. PMAP dramatically improved the working conditions for models and professionalized the modeling landscape for the last two decades. Today, it continues to be a key force in the development and success of the local fashion industry.
