Nixon Marquez: A dark sight

MANILA, Philippines - At a young age, Nixon Marquez has achieved what most ambitious designers have yet to accomplish: a signature look. Here, he derived much from shiny leather and ragged denim — all in black. Contrast came in the presence of paint-splattered white shirts, bands of striped black and white trim on the edge of a jacket, a white shirt with a bold black triangle.
Marquez has found something that caters to a youthful market: something fun and dark that wouldn’t look out of place at the club or a Lady Gaga concert.
