It's more fun in Sagay!
Visiting the Philippines is a must for Filipinos of all ages. It’s the best way to appreciate and love our country with its varied scenic sights and friendly people from over 7,100 islands. I cannot comprehend how the media loves to report negative news about our country and its people and expect tourists and investors to visit. We should be accentuating the positive so that our best foot is always pointed forward.
Upon the invitation of Citoy Lopez and Eva Abesamis, our group hopped on a plane to Bacolod for a long weekend to Sagay to visit the Lopez Sugar Central Mill. Since 1925, it has given jobs to thousands of workers who are kept busy during the peak milling seasons biannually. Even New York socialite-entrepreneur Pamela Dutton was amazed at what our country can offer and intends to come back within the year. She plans to bring her family and friends so they, too, can enjoy the beauty of the Philippines.
On the way to the pristine Carbin Reef in the middle of the Visayan Sea, we passed by the Sagay market and were impressed with the ever-smiling vendors who greeted us before offering their bountiful harvests from the sea.
