Pond's provides the most powerful skin-lightening formula to date
Hi, Rissa!
Is it true that the new Pond’s Flawless White for the face is good for stretch marks as well?
From @mrsEScruz via Twitter
I have always been the type to experiment with beauty products. That’s how I discover which are the breakthroughs and which are just blunders. Although I’m more than happy to be brown and always proud of my morena skin, I, too, sometimes need help from lightening products. My skin easily discolors with a simple scratch or a mosquito bite. Simple mosquito bites end up looking like scars of dark dots on my skin — yes, even if I don’t scratch or touch them! To lighten them and make these imperfections fade away, I use Pond’s Flawless White. It really has worked wonders to make stubborn dark spots disappear in a matter of days!
Once, I shared this discovery with Pond’s senior brand manager Jacqe Yuengtian and she excitedly told me that the Pond’s Flawless White Serum amazingly worked on her stretch marks as well! At another recent press event where the conversation revolved around our beauty woes, the editor-in-chief of one of Manila’s top fashion magazines confirmed the same — Pond’s Flawless White made her stretch marks disappear!
I learned that the recently unveiled Pond’s Flawless White range is a result of 10 years of research on more than 10,000 gene codes at the Pond’s Institute. They didn’t just go beneath the skin’s surface but deep down the skin into our DNA — here, they were able to pinpoint the root cause of all our skin darkening woes. They discovered that a certain set of genes was actually responsible for skin darkening. The new Pond’s Flawless White range boasts the GenActiv formula — their most powerful skin- lightening formula ever to date! It goes deep down the skin’s basal layer to prevent those genes from triggering melanin production, giving you that much-coveted lit-from-within flawless skin!
You must make sure to get yourself the Pond’s Flawless White Ultra Luminous Serum. This is a favorite among beauty insiders. The serum is a concentrated formula with 250-percent more lightening power than the day cream. It diminishes BOTH the size and intensity of persistent blemishes, stubborn dark spots and discolorations. And yes, it’s so powerful that it works on our scars and stretch marks, too! This will be your perfect partner this summer so you can proudly bare not just a flawless face but flawless skin all over, too!

You And Eyes: From Small To Big
Hi, Regina!
I have small eyes. Is there a trick for making them look bigger?
Gilda
Always curl and emphasize your lashes. I know it seems like a minor detail that doesn’t sound like it’ll make much difference, but believe me, it really helps open up your eyes and make you look more awake. Apply at least two coats of mascara, and if you’re off to a big event, consider putting on natural-looking falsies to amp up your existing lashes.
A trick I learned from one of my makeup artist friends is to apply a white, peach, or flesh-toned eyeliner (or something in a shade that is lighter than or can blend with your skin) to your eyelid’s lower waterline. This makes the white part of your eyes look larger. (I have big eyes, but I use Guerlain’s Khol Me Ivory pencil, which is ivory, not white, when I do this because I personally find white a little too stark.)
Dab a little highlighter on the skin right by the inner corners of your eyes to brighten them, then apply a little eyeliner in your usual shade along your upper lashline. (Don’t line all along the inner rims of your eyelids because that can make your eyes look smaller.) Make the line a little wider towards the outer corners of your eyes, and you should be good to go!

Beauty Tips That Will Make You Blush
Dear Lucy,
I do not know how to control the way I apply blush. I always look clownish, that or it is streaky. How do I remedy that?
Mithi
Here are some pointers:
Choose a blush that is foolproof almost, neither too dark nor too light. MAC has a new powder blush in yummy colors that, when applied on the skin, is sheer and buildable. Each shade stays on the skin in the same tone as it appears in the palette. Colors include Pink Tea, Love Cloud, Peony Petal, Modern Mandarin, Immortal Flower, and Full of Joy.
Use a brush to blend, blend, and blend. There should be no streaky or harsh lines and the blush should never look patchy.
Just in case you realize too late that you applied too much, get a cotton ball and, in a circular motion, try to diffuse the color.
Another option is to use a cream formula. After you apply moisturizer and sun block, pat it on the apple of your cheeks. When in doubt, always choose to purchase blush that is light rather than dark. Easier to add on always than the other way around.
To further enhance, look into getting a shade you will use for contouring purposes alone. This will provide depth and dimension. LUCY
