MANILA, Philippines - One of the biggest Israel-based fashion chains brought in by the Suyen Corporation, the powerhouse behind Bench, F&X specializes in classic pieces to keep in one’s closet forever.
F&X knows that there is no substitute for simplicity and originality. There’s a broad selection of items for men and women available in many colors and designs at reasonable prices. From basic cotton piqué shirts and long-sleeved button-down tops for men, and breathable tanks and shirts for women, these items have become wardrobe staples.
For its latest collection, F&X takes inspiration from the 1950s, giving the brand’s classic wear a vintage touch. With the campaign photographed in Innovatique, a vintage furniture shop, located in Manila’s arty and bohemian district Cubao X, the brand goes back in time within a background of colorful antiques, artisan crafts and quirky details like mismatched teacups, old cameras and rotary dial phones.
For women, the style was inspired by Audrey Hepburn and Mad Men’s January Jones as Betty Francis. V-neck tees and cardigans are matched with casual floral dresses. Cinched waists give the entire look the ’50s touch as flowy dresses appear as skirts when layered over by cotton cardigans and comfy tees. The charm and elegance of the ’50s is seen in F&X’s demure silhouettes that are ultra feminine. If dresses aren’t your cup of tea, pair black skinny trousers with tied cover-ups on the waist for a retro glamour.
For men, scrunched-up sleeves of button-down tops and popped collars of piqué shirts tucked in rolled-up dark denim jeans create a nonchalant kind of cool. The style is simple, low-key yet tough — reminiscent of the late James Dean.
Go back in time and stay sartorially old-fashioned with F&X. From casual floral and flowy dresses with hemlines just a little below the knee and rolled-up long-sleeved tops and collared shirts, there’s an entire collection of perennial classics to choose from and to layer on.
The collection is available at F&X at Greenbelt 5, Robinsons Place Manila, SM Cebu, SM Clark, SM Mall of Asia, SM Masinag, SM North EDSA-Annex, SM Southmall, TriNoma. Now open at Active Fun Bldg., Bonifacio High Street and soon to open at SM Megamall.
