These words best describe the bevy of catwalk looks that took the breath away of fashion spectators at the recent Philippine Fashion Week Spring Summer 2012 show. With the freshest makeup looks from L’Oréal Paris, the world’s most trusted beauty expert, the latest trends in local fashion became instant runway hits and perfectly epitomized the true essence of the fashion-forward Filipina.
Serving as this year’s official makeup and hair care presenter, L’Oréal Paris partnered with the country’s top designers to translate their design vision into works of art and beauty on the fashion ramp. Featuring L’Oréal Paris’s pre-packaged makeup kits, each makeup look complemented each design masterpiece and evoked the style and glam that today’s Filipinas look for in fashion.
Chris Diaz’s Spring Summer 2012 line showcased an upbeat, modern spin on the Native American tribal culture highlighted by the Bold Nuance look, which fuses the romantic and the sublime. Base Magique and True Match liquid foundation were applied on the face for a smooth finish, followed by True Match Blush in Gold Apricot on the cheeks for a fresh flush. Curl Impact Collagene Mascara was applied on the lashes for an added feminine punctuation. To finish this summery look, a heavy coat of Color Riche Intense in Fuchsia was applied for a bold pop of color.
Lizanne Cua’s new ensemble takes the power of women front and center with pieces that are bold and sensual. Girl power goes dark and sexy with the Android Goth look defined by black smoldering eyes and plum lips. The skin is prepped with Base Magique and True Match Two-Way Cake for a smooth, matte canvas. Open Eyes Pro in Grey Harmony is used on the lids, then applied with Contour Kohl in Jet Black and Double Extension Beauty Tubes mascara for added drama. For a subtle glow, True Match Blush in Rosewood is dabbed on the cheeks and capped off by Color Riche in Intense Plum on the lips for a dark, sultry punctuation.
Eric delos Santos’s new collection reflects fluidity and softness to highlight the sultry waves of a woman’s body. The Color Contrast look matches this collection, which focuses on the contrasting colors of the pigments. After prepping skin with Base Magique and True Match Two-Way Cake, the brows are groomed using Super Liner browliner, then applied with Open Eyes Pro in Blue Harmony and Turquoise to create contrasting harmony on the eyes. Apply True Match Blush in Rosewood on the cheeks for a fresh flush. To finish the look, Color Riche in Magnetic Coral was applied on the lips for an exclamation of high color contrast, and topped with Glam Shine 6H Coral Sherbet for extra drama.
