A fete with golden hearts
MANILA, Philippines - As one of the most coveted beauty products in the country, Pond’s has taken their mission further than just entrusting women with ageless beauty and incomparable confidence. This year, Pond’s goes beyond skin-deep and lent its support to the recently held annual Philippine National Red Cross Ball fund-raising event at the Shangri-La Makati Hotel.
Seen as a key opportunity to give back to the community, Pond’s senior brand manager Jacqe Yuengtian shares, “We have always believed in making a difference but it was mostly for women’s beauty. Now, we want to be involved in something that goes beyond this.”
The Philippine National Red Cross Ball is a fund-raising event that is supported by the generosity of individuals who believe in their cause to fight for humanity, independence, neutrality and unity.
This year’s Philippine National Red Cross Ball showcased 12 portraits of women exuding style and substance with Pond’s Gold Radiance’s photo exhibit “Women in Love (Blooming with Passion After Years of Married Bliss).”
“We are proud to have been part of this successful and meaningful fête. Not only were we able to support the Philippine National Red Cross’ cause but we have celebrated empowered women who are not only successful with their careers and families, but also know the importance of giving back and reaching out to those in need,” Yuengtian adds.
Photographed by Wesley Villarica, the exhibit showcased distinguished women in the country with Tessa Prieto-Valdes and Kaye Tinga who both co-hosted this year’s Red Cross Ball. They were joined by multi-faceted personalities Dr. Aivee Teo, Cindy Yang, Crickette Tantoco, Lara Villafuerte, Tina Maristela Ocampo, Liza Marcos, Beng Dee, Tweetie De Leon Gonzales, Trina Alindogan and Cris Albert. These 12 ladies are women whose beauty emanates from their unconditional love for their family and advocacies.
Pond’s Gold Radiance joined a roster of well-known names like PGA Cars, Audi, Smart Infinity, HSBC and Etihad Airways, along with new partners Fila and Sun Life Financial and major presenter, Megaworld Corporation, in support of the 2011 Philippine National Red Cross Ball.
Guests were treated to an outstanding display of talent as notable Dubai-based fashion designer Michael Cinco took on the runway with his latest intricate collection. Resorts World and Fila performers also showed their distinct acts together with a special raffle prize courtesy of BlackBerry and a benefit auction participated in by brands Celestina, Subic Leisure and Etihad Airways.
Showing their support were Pond’s PR manager Nikki Abella, Pond’s senior assistant brand manager Dian Yu, and Unilever’s external communications manager Lisa Vengco. The event also gathered some of the most prominent faces in the country with celebrities Ruffa Gutierrez, Ricky Davao, Cherie Gil, Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres-Gomez and designers and personalities Inno Sotto, Rajo Laurel, JC Buendia, Ingrid Chua-Go, Ivarluski Aseron who all stand as advocates to the organization’s mission.
