Below is a simple recipe you can blend to create scents according to your mood and personality. You will need the following: 15 ml fragrance oil, fixative, Dipropylene glycol or DPG, perfume grade — ethyl alcohol, distilled water, 250 ml. Erlenmeyer flask, 10 ml. cylinder, 100 ml. cylinder, 200 ml. beaker, 100 ml. amber bottle, 3 10-ml. perfume glass bottles, 2 35-ml. perfume glass bottles, glass stirrer, perfume grade colorant.
Pour the entire measure of fragrance oil into the Erlenmeyer flask. Add nine drops of fixative using the glass stirrer. Add 3 ml. of DPG, followed by 75 ml of ethanol. Add distilled water to make 100 ml. perfume at 15-percent concentration. Add a small amount of perfume-grade colorant if you wish to change the color of the solution. Pour the solution into an amber bottle and seal well. Refrigerate for one week, or store in a dry room temperature for two weeks to eliminate alcohol sting and improve the scent.
Now, you are ready to package your own perfume enough to fill 3 10-ml. and 2 35-ml. perfume glass bottles of your choice. You can even create your own label for a truly unique, personal touch.
