Breathtaking Oxygen show at Philippine Fashion Week

MANILA, Philippines -  Oxygen recently delivered a simple yet memorable show at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City during the 2011 Fall/Winter Philippine Fashion Week.

It was a defining moment for a brand known for sophisticated minimalist yet totally unpredictable fashion. From the music to the exhibition of the latest collection, the show stayed true to brand’s dynamic spirit. A red-hot ramp greeted guests as they entered the hall as out-takes from its campaign flashed through the screens. In no time, the lights dimmed and the much-awaited runway show began.

Oxygen ambassador and top fashion model Lamont Waters opened the show. Ford Supermodel of the World 2011 winner Danica Magpantay was among the gorgeous models who worked the ramp.

The brand showcased fashion pieces that combine popular, chic global crazes such as free-form knits, contrast panels and concrete tailoring. From a modish mash-up of elements such as clean cuts, sharp lines, structure and fit, to engineered perfection as well as interesting texture and details, the Oxygen designs didn’t disappoint.

DJ duos Geordon Nicol and Leigh Lezark collectively know as The Misshapes brought the house down with their new wave, pop-rock mixes and matchless turntable skills.

Right after the show, people were invited for a post-celebration at Kyss Restaurant and Lounge Bar in Makati City. VIPs were taken to the venue via a line of specially designed Mini Coopers.

Oxygen brand director Jeffrey Bascon said, “It was a great night for Oxygen! We couldn’t have hoped for a better turnout. It was really a breakthrough for our latest collection and the brand as well. We salute all our talented designers for a remarkable job and all the supporters for steadfastly believing in our brand.”
