MANILA, Philippines - Rusty Lopez steps again onto the stage of the celebrated Philippine Fashion Week this May 15 at the SMX in Mall of Asia.
This year, Rusty Lopez comes full circle, back to its brand strength with the theme “Modern Family.” Since it started 34 years ago, Rusty Lopez has been known for quality footwear for the whole family: from Dad’s loafers, work and formal shoes and Mom’s sandals and classic pumps to girls’ trendy and edgier pumps, peep-toes and strappy high-heeled pieces, boys’ boat shoes and boots and children’s school shoes.
Rusty Lopez’s ingenuity and craftsmanship enable the company to respond to the needs of present times, creating fresh and innovative styles and designs that fit the taste and lifestyle of the “Modern Family.”
Indeed, building a brand associated all-occasion footwear for all seasons is the inspiration for this year’s fashion show. And along with its array of footwear options, Rusty Lopez’s over 100 stores nationwide also offer a stylish mix of clothes, bags and accessories.
For Philippine Fashion Week, Rusty Lopez prepares an exciting catwalk concept divided into two segments — “Day and Night” — wherein footwear eye candy will be presented in light of daytime situations and the nighttime rendezvous. Cutting-edge designers Juliet and Mimi Tan will lend their creative eye to the clothes while head stylist Patricia Coronado, together with stylists Eric Poliquit and Enzo Mondejar, will make sure that all pieces work well together, from head to toe.
“Daytime Drama” will include beautiful yet practical inspirations for Weekday Wear, consisting of office and work attire and school and campus pieces; and Weekend Wear featuring a bevy of casual styles. Then there’s Denim Wear, conceptualized with a younger vibe; and the Biker Look which befits edgy, daring and urbane styles. Meanwhile, the Night segment will include more formal ensembles.
“The ‘Modern Family’ concept captures what the Rusty Lopez brand stands for today. The show will creatively showcase our company statement about the importance of having the right footwear: that even if you are wearing something basic, you can dress it up or down with your shoes,” explains Nicole Lopez, Rusty Lopez’s merchandising and marketing officer.
This will be the second time the brand will participate in PFW, after its first and highly successful appearance last year.
