Dear lucy,
I need to buy clothes that can go from day to night. I need them to be reasonably priced because although I earn well from the job I hold, I am still paying off the condo unit I bought last year. But I also know I have to look good and feel good. Where can I get nice accessories that will not cost an arm and a leg?
Rhodora
I urge you to check out Kashieca and look for the line designed by Randy Ortiz. His pieces are beautiful, wearable, and flattering for every body type. The jersey pieces skim elegantly over the body instead of hugging it tightly and what I especially love about them is that they can easily be dressed up or down with just a change of shoes or accessories. You can wear them with tights and close-toed shoes when you go to cold places. You can opt to go bare-legged if you wish. There are pieces that multi-task, tunics that you can wear on their own or with leggings, a dress that you can also wear as a skirt. All styles come in different beautiful colors.
For accessories, I like Aldo and Evita Peroni. Do check them out.

The Truth about Fruit Juice
Dear Ms. Tingting,
I was wondering if drinking fruit juices could make one slimmer. How much weight can you lose by drinking just orange?
Maribeth
Do you mean to say you’ll be taking a fruit juice diet without any solid food? Don’t do that to lose weight or you’re more likely to give yourself an acidic stomach with a high vitamin C intake.
Juices are packed with sugar, too. Other juices are healthy drinks, but eat for your body to absorb other vitamins. Stop consuming so much dairy, red meat, caffeine, salt, sugar, and fatty foods.
That’s the real secret to losing weight and keeping it off.

Rise and Be Shine-Free
Hi, Rissa!
I have oily skin that is easily prone to breakouts, which makes me hesitant when trying out beauty products. Could you recommend a whitening face cream that will do the job but is gentle on oily/sensitive skin?
And could you recommend a face powder that will keep my face shine-free all day but won’t upset my skin? Thank you so much for your help. By the way, I always have a great time reading Style SOS every week. More power to your trio!

When it comes to sensitive skin, consider the dermatologist-recommended brand Neutrogena. Try the Neutrogena Fine Fairness range (available at stores nationwide) to safely achieve fairer skin. This whitening line features a cleanser, a toner, an oil-free whitening face lotion with SPF 30 and a night cream. I’ll admit I’ve never tried it. I don’t use whitening products because I’m happy with my morena skin tone. I’m recommending it because my friend has been using it and I’ve witnessed how she achieved healthy fair skin before her wedding. She never uses makeup so even during her wedding, she had very little makeup and her flawless radiant skin shone through.
To stay shine-free, do try the Maybelline Clear Smooth Shine Free Face Powder (available at leading department stores, drugstores, personal care stores, and supermarkets). This face powder is one of my favorite drugstore finds. It’s wonderfully oil-free, fragrance-free, non-comedogenic, and equipped with SPF 18. It’s incredibly lightweight and gives an ultra smooth poreless finish. It claims to have a six-hour staying power and I’ll admit it really is long-lasting. The area in between my brows always tends to get oily, but this face powder controlled the oil and kept it shine-free. I hardly needed touch-ups throughout the day. Even if you touch up, it will not tolerate buildup, cake, and crack.
