MANILA, Philippines - With the success of Ensembles by Debbie Co Collection Series last year, Ensembles brings on board one of the most celebrated fashion designers today — Louis Claparols — for its holiday collection.
“I always wanted to collaborate with a local women’s label and I’m just so flattered that I was invited to do a capsule collection for Ensembles,” enthuses Claparols, president of the Young Designers Guild.
Claparols Holiday 2010 Collection consists of art-deco dresses, tops, skirts, boleros, and trench coats. Each piece in this pocket-collection features distinctive retro-feel prints made into cutout patch detailing.
“The collection was inspired by a lot of things — from architecture to graphic art to my favorite movies. I played with a lot of lines and shapes and cutout prints to make it really graphic and playful,” explains Claparols.
“I like the geometric patch pieces. I find it strong yet feminine,” Ensembles celebrity endorser Carmina Villarroel shares.
