Pinoy jewelry rocks

MANILA, Philippines - The Amber Room on Bonifacio High Street in Taguig sparkled as PLDT-SME Nation and the Guild of Philippine Jewelers, Inc. (GPJI) launched the annual Jewelers Design Competition.

With the theme “Opposites Attract,” the event was attended by more than 70 guests including Philippine Ambassador to Germany Delia Albert.

The night was highlighted by a symbolic partnership toast of PLDT-SME Nation and GPJI officials.

Entrepreneurs and the who’s who in the jewelry industry got a firsthand look at some of PLDT-SME Nation’s business security solutions ideal for jewelry entrepreneurs.

“With the country’s creative minds and its bounty in precious stones and metals, there’s no doubt that the Philippines stands out when it comes to jewelry crafting. It’s an industry we should highly promote and safeguard,” says Kat Luna-Abelarde, PLDT-SME Nation vice president and head.

Guests also marveled at the winning designs from last year’s jewelry design competition, which were on display.
