Fall look 2009: Ultra Violet by Make Up For Ever
Dany Sanz, creator of Make Up For Ever, comes up with Ultra Violet for the Make Up For Ever woman for Fall 2009.
What were Sanz’s inspirations for the Fall 2009 look? If the Fall 2009 woman were the heroine of a movie, who would she be?
“She’d be Mata Hari, one of my all-time favorite movies,” says Sanz. “For me, Mata Hari embodies the enigmatic woman, many things in one: a dancer, a spy, a traveler with a thousand faces … I decided to create my own version of this heroine as a woman of our times.”
Apply HD Primer Pink #7 to freshen up the complexion. Then use the HD sponge or HD brush to apply HD Foundation Ivory #115.
Apply a base of Aqua Black to the upper lid and shade it with Eye Shadow anthracite iridiscent #169. Apply Eye Shadow yellow beige iridescent #126 under the eyebrows. Use Aqua Eyes anthracite 21L on the inside of the eye and along the base of the lower lashes. Below the eye, add Aqua Eyes purple 11L and shade it with Eye Shadow purple matte #92.
Use the 6N brush to add Eye Shadow #92 to the outer corner and shade it lightly with beige, moving upward toward the eyebrow. Apply Smoky Lash Mascara to the upper and lower lashes. Apply Faux Lashes #133.
Structure the cheekbones with Sculpting Kit #1 using the double-tipped sculpting brush. Use Sculpting Blush peach pink #10 to highlight the cheekbones. Use the Kabuki brush to powder the complexion with HD Powder.
Draw the lip contour with the Aqua Lip light rosewood 14C pencil. Then fill them in with Lipstick Palette soft pink #11. For a high-gloss finish, add a coat of Glossy Full pastel mauve #9.
