Tomas Maier says it will be a season of gray

MANILA, Philippines - Bottega Veneta designer Tomas Maier revealed what is chic and elegant for the coming season: a lot of grays, muted wines and shades of brown.

The Bottega Veneta collection embodies sheer sophistication and timelessness. Making it look fresh and feminine are hints of pink in silk satin shifts or checked coats. Maier shows strategic points of interest with his signature elegant and luxurious effects with linen bouclé for narrow, sleeveless dresses and tailoring wool herringbone into suit jackets that appear layered in front.

Silhouettes are mostly easy and off-the-body but the fabrications remain rich as ever.

The matching Bottega Veneta tote is an interesting element. Tornabuoni bags add a literal twist to the label’s signature interwoven intrecciato treatment, giving them an interesting 3-D texture.
