Gamers unite at Midtown
MANILA, Philippines - Street magicians perform their acts around Midtown’s al fresco dining area on March 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Online games will be held as part of E-Games’ Audition & X-Play Crew on March 7 and the ZX online game launch on March 8 at Midtown’s Grand Atrium. There will be dance competitions, free play, in-game tournaments, live contests, raffle and freebies, and a performance from Hilera on March 7, and free play, wushu and dragon dancers, live contest the following day.
Kids can travel at the speed of lightning with Lightning McQueen in the 2009 Disney Race Track Summer Event from March 16 to 27 courtesy of Toys R’ Us. The event features Lightning McQueen, Mater, Sally, Mack Truck, Ramone, Chick Hicks. Kids can have photo opportunity with the Disney Cars on weekdays and a chance to play on weekends for every purchase of Disney ride-on items.
Anime enthusiasts can take part in the second Philippine Costume Play Convention on March 28 organized by Hobbiworx. Cosplayers in their elaborate costumes and accessories will compete for the best sci-fi, anime, superhero, or historical costume award.
