Take a fashionable step towards fitness
MANILA, Philippines - Today’s warriors are taking to the streets. These are the busy and active women who pound the pavements attending to various tasks from day to day with so little time on their hands that even going to the gym is next to impossible. Good thing there’s FitFlop — the revolutionary footwear created by Marcia Kilgore that tones the bum, thighs and legs while walking. It features a patented microwobble board midsole that is proven to work wonders by engaging more leg muscles with every step.
This summer, FitFlop has taken a fun foray into high fashion with its latest style that will complement those well-toned legs. “Aurelia” is a gorgeous, corseted gladiator-inspired FitFlop boot. This snakeskin beauty was born out of a collaboration with Kirna Zabete, a retail fashion mecca in New York’s SoHo district.
Kirna Zabete owners, Beth Buccini and Sarah Easley, love FitFlop’s foot feel, function and fitness-giving concept but could not find a pair that would suit the downtown SoHo look. Working closely with a groovy young Italian designer, the original FitFlop design was tweaked to create an urban chic version.
Only a limited number of “Aurelia” FitFlops will be released in the Philippines. Available at Res|Toe|Run in TriNoma, Robinsons Galleria, Gateway Mall or Ayala Center Cebu.
