Caviar and diamonds
I’m 41 and it’s time. I’ve just opened my first tub of La Prairie, and you know these things aren’t easy to come by. Just check out the prices at Rustan’s: a 20-ml. tub of La Prairie Crème Caviar Luxe for eyes costs P15,500, while Crème Caviar Luxe for the face will cost between P19,500 for 50 ml. and P36,500 for 100 ml.
Lucky me, I received these as presents from a La Prairie Caviar and Diamonds luxury trip in Hong Kong.
But why do tubs of cream cost so much? Do miracle creams really work?
My friend tells me about a Hong Kong Chinese woman who is 62 and stopped using Botox and Restylane after using La Prairie.
Just like the legendary beauty Audrey Hepburn, I would like to hopefully age gracefully without the use of needles and knives.
La Prairie is perfect for those who want to turn back the clock on aging without resorting to plastic surgery.
Now comes the latest offering from La Prairie’s Caviar Collection: it’s called Skin Caviar Crystalline Concentre.
Caviar and diamonds are two symbols of luxury that come together in this product to help restore the firm, luminous and youthful complexion you may have thought was gone forever.
This shimmering, nutrient-rich serum comes in a glass bottle with a medicine dropper. To apply, dispense one drop into the palm of your hand and smooth over face and neck using fingertips.
The results are immediate and dramatic. A rare combination of diamond, mica and quartz crystals provide a dazzling glow upon first application.
On the inside, caviar extracts provide firming and nourishment, resulting in more radiant skin, while Asian root and a duo of peptides fill out wrinkles from within.
“It’s about turning back the clock based on solid science, that’s why it can’t be copied by other brands,” said Professor Sven Gohla, vice president for research and development.
While Vickie Kent, vice president for Asia Pacific, says La Prairie has “very few but loyal customers who are making an investment decision. In every life there is a need for a little luxury and pampering care. If you invest in luxury products like handbags and jewelry, why not invest in your skin?”
Investing in La Prairie is more than skin-deep. La Prairie sets standards for responsible luxury — they call it “eco-luxury,” where ecology, luxury and innovative technology meet.
Instead of plastic containers, La Prairie has always used glass, and where plastic is used, PVC is the chosen material.
When La Prairie found out the sturgeon of the Caspian Sea was becoming an endangered species, they found an alternative solution for its Caviar Extract, a rare and costly ingredient used in the Caviar Collection. Caviar was then extracted from the Baerli sturgeon grown in aqua farms in France.
In addition, La Prairie does not engage in any form of animal testing.
As a company with a special affinity for women, La Prairie donates to charities that aid children in need and women with breast cancer.
Choosing La Prairie ensures that customers benefit from the most luxurious and effective products, while expectations in terms of social and environmental values are met.
