Window shopping, Italian style
Dazzling yuletide trimmings bedecked the most important fashion streets of Rome and Florence. Via Tornabuoni in Florence and Via della Condotti in Rome gave Christmas a resounding beat to the holiday cheer. Forget all your woes. Christmas is a celebration. It is about giving. It is about family. It is about our loved ones. It is about giving thanks for all the blessings we have received. Just like here, Christmas is a grand festivity in Italy. It is so close to the Pinoy style. Decorations are a big thing — although they don’t start as early as we do! Fashion houses made sure that Christmas is to be enjoyed despite the trying times. Creativity was at its best and the spirit was so contagious. The festive trimmings would lure any window shopper to shop, shop, shop!
