Coastal chic
As Hamilo Coast progresses into the country’s largest and most luxurious integrated coastal community, elegant luxury resort wear inspired by its outback chic architecture and design will be presented during Philippine Fashion Week spring/summer ’09.
On Oct. 24, Friday, 7:30 p.m. at the SMX Convention Center, Hamilo Coast partners with Runway Productions to unveil stylish designs that will perfectly fit the eco-tourism development’s sophisticated seaside lifestyle. To be showcased are the creations of Chris Diaz, Edgar San Diego, Harley Ruedas, Jerome Salaya Ang, Joel Escober, Jontie Martinez, Julius Tarog, Lizanne Cua, Mich Dulce, Ramon Favila, Rickie Abad, Roel Rosal, Roland Lirio, Simon Ariel Vasquez and Twinkle Ferraren.
“We are very pleased that these designers were able to come up with creations that perfectly translate the luxurious and laid-back lifestyle of Hamilo Coast,” said Jess Lucas, executive vice president and concurrently president of Costa del Hamilo, Inc., developer of Hamilo Coast.
The designers created fashions that blend well with the overall design of Hamilo Coast. Dave Fabros photographed the luxury resort wear with models Ram Sagad, Michelle Panemanglor and Jeane Flores of Cal-Carries International and makeup by Jinky Ilusorio.
Inspiring the designers is the outback-chic character of Hamilo Coast, a 5,900-hectare property along the coast of Nasugbu, Batangas, and primed to be the country’s premier eco-tourism destination.
Only a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Manila and soon accessible via an hour-and-a-half ferry ride from the Mall of Asia Complex, Hamilo Coast offers cutting-edge facilities and amenities that make for a pleasurable private retreat. Thirteen natural coves have pristine beaches that vary in size and character, promontories that jut out to sea, limestone cliffs, virgin forests, rock formations and waterways.
Hamilo Coast was developed in harmony with nature by Costa del Hamilo, Inc., which is ensuring sustainable development practices and the preservation of the coves’ natural beauty.
Already operational is Pico Point, Hamilo Coast’s marketing and sales office. It is a two-story structure with a view deck facing the coast that affords guests a spectacular panorama of the expansive property.
Nearing completion is the exclusive Pico de Loro Beach & Country Club, envisioned to be the country’s premier leisure and coastal resort facility that aims to promote wellness through healthy interaction with nature. The Club will offer its members lush and refreshing cuisine, cutting-edge equipment and facilities for indoor and outdoor sports, as well as eco-adventure activities like hiking, biking and walking trails, trekking, snorkeling and swim-ways.
Construction of the Myna and Jacana condominiums is also in full swing. These two low-impact condominium clusters will rise along Pico de Loro Cove’s impressive coastline, which will blend a balanced mix of residential, commercial and cultural amenities.
Hamilo Coast is a development by Costa del Hamilo, Inc., a subsidiary of SMIC.
Produced by Runway Productions, Philippine Fashion Week will be held from Oct. 22 to 26 at SMX Convention Center in the Mall of Asia Complex, and on Oct. 27 to 29 at SM Mall of Asia, featuring top Philippine brands and the biggest group of designers.
