I’ve been reading a lot about your beauty tips and one of the things that I’ve recently done is to go to my dermatologist and get started on the Obagi program, which you have recommended many times in the past. I’ve always had large pores and rough, bumpy skin. I’ve been on Obagi for about six weeks now and I’ve seen some changes, although not what I’ve been hoping for – not yet anyway. Maybe I’m just being impatient, but does this really help smooth out rough skin and get rid of pimple scars? Also, is it advisable to get a peeling or facial while I’m still on the first phase of this program or should I wait until my skin has completely transformed?

Don’t be impatient; the Obagi skincare regimen really has some downtime (a period when skin looks awkward, peeling here and there) but in the end, it will all be worth it. I have been an Obagi user ever since I was single and even when I had pimples all over my face when I was pregnant with Juliana (I stopped using the whole line for fear that it would be harmful to my unborn baby); it was only Dr. Sylvia Huang and Obagi that made my scars disappear, and my complexion even-toned again as it was pre-pregnancy. Should you get a facial? I would say there is no harm in doing that. A facial would be complementary to your Obagi facial, but please go to a reputable dermatologist.

Drooping eyelids are caused by loose skin, which comes with aging. Do you want to open your eyes to make them look bigger? Then dab white or a light beige cream makeup on the eyelids, from corner to corner. Above it, use brown powdered eye shadow and put mascara on your lashes, on the corner where the eyelids droop.
