Of course, since this is the Third World, if I can spot maybe two to four cool people out of a hundred, then Im lucky.
If theres an event, its easy to approach subjects for a picture.
Otherwise I need to be introduced or gather enough guts to speak to strangers about having their picture taken.
What I noticed since I started doing this is that guys in Manila generally look more interesting than the girls, who have the same generic look and hairstyle.
Since I grew up in the New Wave 80s, Im quite used to seeing guys accessorize and do strange things with their hair.
But these days its just about normal for a guy to have standing or colored hair. Its no longer weird.
Since the rainy season is back, out come the jackets in all forms and colors.
I caught a few men recently wearing all sorts of jackets in hoodies, blazers, knits and denims to complement hip T-shirts or plain white shirts with jeans and sneakers.
